Astromaniac Magazine’s Code of Conduct

Astromaniac Magazine is committed to honesty, transparency, and respect for the astrophotography community. Our equipment and gear reviews are conducted independently and fairly, regardless of whether products are purchased by us or provided by manufacturers for evaluation. Receiving equipment for testing does not influence our editorial judgement, conclusions, or recommendations. We do not offer paid reviews, guaranteed coverage, or editorial influence in exchange for products, advertising, or partnerships. Our responsibility is to our readers first, providing clear, practical, and unbiased information to help astrophotographers make informed decisions based on real experience.

We believe in the free flow of knowledge and accessible science communication. Selected articles published on Astromaniac Magazine originate from The Conversation and are republished under Creative Commons licences. These pieces are always fully credited, presented in accordance with licensing requirements, and shared to broaden public access to expert research, academic insight, and evidence-based discussion. By including Creative Commons material alongside original work, we support open access to reliable information while maintaining transparency about authorship and sources.

All original content produced by Astromaniac Magazine including reviews, articles, interviews, tutorials, photography showcases, and editorial features is created with integrity, curiosity, and respect for creators. We champion authenticity in astrophotography, celebrate diverse voices, and aim to foster a welcoming, supportive global community. We respect intellectual property, credit contributors appropriately, and expect collaborators and featured photographers to uphold ethical standards, including honesty in image presentation and clear disclosure of techniques where relevant.

We also respect the trust placed in us by our readers and subscribers. Astromaniac Magazine does not send spam emails, sell mailing lists, or share subscriber information with third parties. Communications are limited to relevant updates such as new articles, features, announcements, or occasional store news, and subscribers may opt out at any time.
